Meeting in Romania

ROMANIA

Last week we stayed in Romania and it was great!
We arrived in Bucharest the 15th of February and we slept there one night. It was so good because both of us, teachers and students, enjoyed a lot walking by the city. We saw the Parliament Palace and the Arch of Triumph.
After that day, we took a bus from Bucharest to Craiova. In the bus, we were talking with the Turkish children. They taught us a bit of turkish and we taught them a bit of Spanish. It was so funny!

When we arrived in Craiova, we met the family that was going to host us during that week. We were together in the same house.
Our host-family was really kind. The mother spoke so good English and the boy too. The boy’s name was Bogdan.
We didn´t spend a lot of time in the house, just for eat and sleep normally. The first day the Romanian children did a show for all the children and the teachers. That day we met the other children. We all were good friends.

We visited museums and we played in parks. One afternoon we went to a very very big park with cars for children and some cool swings. It was our favorite day! We played hide and sick and we did races with the cars.
We, the Spanish girls, were most of the time with the Romanian boys. Bogdan, Alex, Tudor and Robert were my best friends there. We were always talking about what was our favorite music or sport, or kind of films…

One of the last days we did a project at the Romanian school and we planted some plants. We left them at the school. And other day we did a presentation about plants in a poster board. It was funny too.

The food in Rumania was not so much different than here. When we were outside, we ate some sandwiches and in the house Bogdan’s mother cooked delicious meals with meat, vegetables and cheese and very good desserts with fruits.

The last day no-one wanted to go home. All of us wanted to stay because that was the best week ever! The only reason we finally went home was that they will come to Spain on April. We are every day thinking in all the children in Romania. We communicate with some of them by e-mail or messages.
It was one of the best weeks of our lifes.
